Technical Writer Location: Lawrenceville, GA (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract / Ongoing About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in Lawrenceville, GA. In this role, you will develop clear and concise documentation for our computing systems, ensuring that both technical and non-technical personnel can understand and use our tools effectively. This is an onsite position, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. Responsibilities: Collaborate with department heads, engineers, and project managers to gather technical information. Plan, research, write, and edit documents including user guides, manuals, technical specifications, and training materials. Edit documentation from development staff to ensure consistency and clarity. Maintain documentation standards and ensure content is accurate and up-to-date. Utilize desktop publishing tools, diagrams, charts, and visual aids to enhance understanding. Assess audience needs and present technical information in user-friendly language. Support documentation process improvements and recommend new tools or methods. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Journalism. Minimum 2 years of professional technical writing experience; 4+ years preferred. Hands-on experience documenting IT software or systems is highly desirable. Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
