DESCRIPTION: British Airways is hiring a Security Coordinator (Aviation Security) for its Worldwide Airports team in Mumbai. As the UK flag carrier with a century of global operations, BA seeks a dedicated professional to safeguard one of its key international markets. The role sits within Operations and is responsible for implementing and managing BA’s security policies and procedures at Mumbai Airport, ensuring compliance with international regulations, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) requirements and local legislation.

Key responsibilities include coordinating security processes for aircraft, people, property and customers; monitoring service level agreements with the Security Service Provider; acting as the station’s senior reporting official in emergencies; and liaising with internal and external agencies. The coordinator will oversee access control, passenger and baggage screening, dangerous goods acceptance procedures, crew security, and quality-control audits, including surprise checks and reporting to senior managers. The post requires creating and maintaining local manuals and delivering training for BA, GHA and Security Service Provider teams.

Candidates should be graduates, PC literate (Word/Excel), fluent in English, energetic, observant and able to work under pressure and across day/night shifts. Basic AVSEC certification is desirable. Applicants must have unrestricted legal right to live and work in India.
