Job Description: CPP is seeking a dedicated Translator fluent in Swahili and Chinese to join its team on the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project. This full-time, project-based role is crucial for facilitating seamless communication between site management and local personnel, ensuring effective daily coordination and collaborative efforts across diverse multicultural teams on remote project sites within Tanzania.Key responsibilities include providing accurate oral and written translations, assisting site management with interpretation in meetings and fieldwork, supporting training sessions and toolbox talks, and ensuring clarity and cultural understanding in all cross-language communications. The successful candidate will work directly on-site to play a vital role in smooth project execution.

Job Requirements: • Tanzanian national • Fluent in Swahili and Chinese (spoken & written) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Willingness to work on remote project sites • Previous translation/interpretation experience in construction or oil & gas projects preferred • Ability to handle technical vocabulary related to engineering, construction, or oil & gas • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in translation • Cultural sensitivity and understanding for effective cross-cultural communication • Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple translation tasks
