We’re Hiring – Python Backend Developer / Lead (Django)

Location: Hyderabad / Bengaluru Work Mode: Hybrid Experience: 7–14 Years Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred

Job Description We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer / Lead with strong expertise in Django and backend system design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance applications, leading complex system designs, and collaborating closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain production-grade backend services using Python (Django). Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable systems and REST APIs. Collaborate with frontend teams using React and TypeScript to deliver seamless user experiences. Ensure database design, optimization, and performance using MySQL / PostgreSQL. Debug complex production issues and improve system observability and reliability. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment workflows. Work closely with DevOps teams on Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure. Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-team collaboration.

Experience Required 5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade software. Strong hands-on experience with Python (Django) and REST API development. Experience leading or contributing to the design of complex backend systems. Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL). Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve production-level issues.

Preferred Skills Experience with enterprise SaaS / B2B systems, multi-tenancy, and authentication (OAuth, SSO, SAML). Knowledge of event-driven architectures, analytics pipelines, and A/B testing frameworks. Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices. Exposure to Open edX ecosystem or open-source contributions. Demonstrated experience in technical mentorship and team leadership.
