Interpreter (Japanese ⇄ English) – Information Security / IT Project

Location: Remote / India (Bangalore if in-person meeting required) Salary: Based on service rates (Project-based) Eligibility: Open to both native and non-native Japanese interpreters

JOB DETAILS Jobs in Japan is seeking interpreters to support an upcoming Information Security project lasting 3–4 months. The role involves live interpretation, translation, and communication support between Japanese and English for a cybersecurity-related project. Preference will be given to candidates with IT or cybersecurity backgrounds. • Interpret live client calls (approx. 2 per week, 30 minutes each) • Translate and send client emails (approx. 10–15 per month) • Translate e-learning course materials (approx. 10,000 words) • Provide voiceover recordings for e-learning modules • Attend 1–2 in-person meetings in Bangalore if required

REQUIREMENTS • Fluent in both Japanese and English (native or near-native level) • Experience in interpretation, translation, or related roles • Familiarity with Information Technology or Cybersecurity terms • Ability to deliver high-quality translation and audio deliverables • Professional communication and reliability in project-based work

NICE TO HAVE • Prior experience in e-learning translation or voiceover work • JLPT N1–N2 certification or equivalent proficiency • Previous experience working with IT clients
