🚀 We’re Hiring: Staff Data Scientist – NLP

The AI/ML team at Trajector is building the next generation of NLP solutions for medical and legal document processing. We develop and deploy cutting-edge models that power business efficiency, compliance, and innovation at scale.

We’re looking for a Staff Data Scientist (NLP) with deep expertise in transformers, LLMs, information retrieval, summarization, and personalization systems. You’ll lead end-to-end projects—from model development to deployment—while mentoring the next generation of AI talent and shaping our long-term technical vision.

💼 What You’ll Do Design, build, and deploy scalable NLP systems to extract and structure data from complex medical and legal documents. Apply advanced transformers, LLMs, summarization, and personalization techniques to solve real-world, domain-specific problems. Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain experts to define requirements and deliver impactful AI solutions. Lead all phases of the ML lifecycle: data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. Maintain data privacy, security, and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.). Mentor junior data scientists and drive knowledge-sharing across the team. Stay ahead of emerging NLP trends and recommend innovative approaches.

📌 What We’re Looking For Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or related field. 5–8 years of professional experience in NLP, ML, or AI (medical/legal domain experience is a plus). Expert in Python, SQL, and ML/NLP frameworks (Hugging Face, spaCy, scikit-learn). Hands-on experience with generative AI prompts and evaluation. Strong background in mathematics, statistics, and optimization. Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and ML model deployment in production. Proven track record delivering data science solutions at scale. Bonus Points For: OCR expertise. Experience with reinforcement learning, graph-based NLP, or MLOps tools. Publications or open-source NLP contributions.
