What You'll Do as a Senior Solutions Architect
You will own the technical integration experience for Abacum's customers end-to-end. From scoping complex data models on day one, to validating integrations pre-sale on strategic deals, to acting as the technical authority when things get hard post-launch, this role is the single point of accountability for making sure customer data flows into Abacum reliably and at speed.
You will be a senior hire in a new function, paired with a Junior Integration Specialist who will handle day-to-day ticket volume. You will partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, FP&A Ops, and our Integrations engineering squad.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Technically sharp. You can read an API spec, design a data mapping, and debug a NetSuite saved search without waiting for engineering.
- Finance-fluent. You can hold your own with a CFO and explain why an intercompany elimination matters.
- Calm under ambiguity. You've worked in fast-growing SaaS companies where the playbook is still being written.
- Ownership-minded. You treat customer integration success as your personal problem, not a hand-off.
Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Scope and design integrations for new customers on complex systems: data model, source mapping, validation plan.
- Resolve Tier 2 integration escalations across NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Workday, Finch, flat-file, and API-based sources.
- Partner with Sales Consultants on strategic deals where integration complexity is part of the technical evaluation.
- Build and maintain integration playbooks, templates, and a growing internal knowledge base.
- Work with Product and Engineering to prioritise the integration roadmap based on field signal.
- Coach and develop a Junior Integration Specialist as the function grows.
Your experience
- 5-8 years in a technical customer-facing role: Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or similar, ideally at an EPM/CPM/FP&A vendor.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major source system: NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Workday Financials, Oracle/Hyperion, or SAP. NetSuite certifications are a strong plus.
- Solid FP&A domain understanding. Knows how a finance team thinks about close, budget, forecast, and reporting.
- Strong communication skills: can translate between finance, IT, and engineering without friction.
- Fluent English. Spanish is a plus.
Nice to have
- SQL proficiency. Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and CSV-based data workflows.
- Experience at an EPM vendor.
- Modern data stack exposure (dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Python scripting.
- Background at a Big 4 or specialist EPM implementation partner.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation including equity package
- Competitive vacation policy
- Access to Meditopia
- Hybrid working model and flexible working hours
- Personal development including language courses
