About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our growing team at Adyen in Chicago. You will help bridge the gap between complex technical details and clear, usable content for our external developer audience.
Key Responsibilities
- →Create and refine high-quality API reference docs, developer guides, and code samples in clear, concise English.
- →Work closely with developers, product managers, and implementation managers to ensure documentation is accurate and well-scoped.
- →Use docs-as-code workflow (Git, Markdown) to deliver and automate documentation updates.
- →Contribute to the team’s excellence by reviewing and copy-editing content created by both fellow writers and non-writers.
- →Actively participate in evolving our style guide and improving the user experience for documentation.
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of experience in technical or developer documentation, preferably within a SaaS or Fintech environment.
- ✓Strong working knowledge of Markdown and Git.
- ✓Strong writing fundamentals and the ability to distill large amounts of technical information into concise content.
- ✓Familiarity with programming languages (Java, Python, C#) or tools like Postman and IntelliJ is a significant advantage.
