About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Design Project Manager to join our growing Architecture & Engineering team at AECOM in Tampa, FL. This role requires demonstrated project management skills and leadership to manage projects and teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage the project team and disciplines for a concerted and responsible delivery of the project.
→Partner in regular client communications and relationship building focused on service and growth.
→Communicate and lead externally and internally for business and project success.
→Build strong relationships and trust with clients and team members.
→Effectively manage staff, projects, and workflow with understanding of project design phases, objectives, and deliverables.
→Manage design milestones and achieve accurate and timely delivery.
→Establish work plans, schedules, budgets, and track and manage through project life.
→Manage financial performance and procedures, ensuring projects are managed to standards and expectations.
→Manage multiple projects as assigned that may require regionally based staff in multiple locations.
→Collaborate with Project Architect, Principal, and other team members as required.
→Manage and interface with clients and contractual subject matter.
→Serve as key point of contact and communicator, reviewing external communications for quality and accuracy.
→Guide quality of design documents, including QA/QC procedures and standards.
→Lead meetings and preparation, ensuring proper material is prepared for purpose.
→Contribute to office culture and be part of building a collaborative and creative team.
→Work with software platforms including Office, Bluebeam, Projects, and Adobe.

Requirements

✓Demonstrated use of industry project tools and resources to effectively manage projects and clients.
✓Understanding of and control of fundamental industry project management means and methods.
✓Experience in managing multi-discipline team management, scope and budget management, developing work plans and staffing, proposals and contracts.
✓Ability to communicate and lead externally and internally for business and project success.
✓Experience in managing staff, projects, and workflow with understanding of project design phases, objectives, and deliverables.
✓Experience in managing design milestones and achieving accurate and timely delivery.
✓Experience in establishing work plans, schedules, budgets, and tracking and managing through project life.
✓Experience in managing financial performance and procedures, ensuring projects are managed to standards and expectations.
✓Experience in managing multiple projects as assigned that may require regionally based staff in multiple locations.
✓Experience in collaborating with Project Architect, Principal, and other team members as required.
✓Experience in managing and interfacing with clients and contractual subject matter.
