About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Highway & Bridge Project Manager to join our growing Transportation team in Calgary. This role will support the delivery of municipal, provincial, and federal roadways, highway, and bridge projects across Alberta, working closely with multidisciplinary technical teams, clients, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage and coordinate the delivery of highway and bridge projects for municipal, provincial, federal, and other private-sector clients
- →Lead project planning, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management activities
- →Coordinate internal design teams, sub-consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
- →Support procurement activities, including preparation and review of proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates
- →Monitor project performance, financials, and resourcing to ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements
- →Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, and client deliverables
- →Facilitate and attend client meetings, progress reviews, and coordination sessions
- →Support quality management by ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and project controls
- →Assist with business development efforts and client relationship management as required
- →Perform additional duties intended to support professional growth within a transportation project delivery environment
- →Undertake proposal preparation efforts and support senior management in business development efforts
Requirements
- ✓Strong foundation in civil engineering or technical project delivery
- ✓Hands-on project management experience in transportation infrastructure
- ✓Experience working with municipal, provincial, and federal clients
- ✓Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- ✓Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- ✓Knowledge of procurement processes and cost estimation
- ✓Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
