About the Role
AECOM’s Port and Marine team is seeking a Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to lead multiple projects. This role requires technical expertise and leadership to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Plan, prepare, and successfully complete project deliverables
- →Present calculations to a high standard and utilize software like ROBOT, GRLWEAP, WALLAP, TEDDS, and PLAXIS 3D
- →Review technical specifications, reports, and notes to ensure accuracy
- →Comment on design, drawings, and specifications for timely results
- →Mentor staff to achieve technical solutions and support their development
- →Communicate with other disciplines and clients to ensure clear understanding of scope and deliverables
- →Assist in the preparation of tenders, including program, cost estimates, and technical input
- →Design structures in the marine environment, such as quay walls, piers, and breakwaters
- →Ensure compliance with British Standards, Eurocodes, and maritime best practices
- →Deliver projects across a range of costs and complexities
- →Work in multidisciplinary teams within the UK Maritime industry
Requirements
- ✓Significant experience in civil and structural engineering
- ✓Proficiency in presenting calculations and utilizing engineering software
- ✓Experience in reviewing technical documents and ensuring quality
- ✓Knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, and maritime best practices
- ✓Understanding of CDM, Safety in Design, and CEMD
- ✓Experience in delivering projects across various costs and complexities
- ✓Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and within the UK Maritime industry
