About the Role
Affirm is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join the Trust & Safety Experience team. You will work on authentication, verification, and fraud journeys, contributing to backend, web, and mobile interfaces. This role requires a deep understanding of business, product, and engineering contexts to deliver high-availability and low-latency systems for Affirm customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
- →Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics
- →Proactively identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues
- →Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics
- →Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards
- →Help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of experience as a software engineer
- ✓Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- ✓Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
- ✓Ability to define a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component with an elegant, simple, and extensible design
- ✓Proficiency at making significant changes in a large code base
- ✓Strong verbal and written communication skills
