About the Role
We are seeking a Product Manager for our API platform at Airbnb. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to build and deliver improvements to our API platform and tools for developers. You will own the product marketing for how our partners can use our API platform to create high value applications.
Key Responsibilities
- βDevelop and maintain a product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API platform.
- βSynthesize feedback and translate it into product features.
- βDevelop a public and developer facing messaging and narrative for the API platform.
- βAlign product teams and cross functional partners.
- βDevelop partnerships with a focus on supply and demand.
- βRole model behaviors that encourage open communication and curiosity.
- βMake judgments and prioritization decisions that are in the best interests of our users.
- βEfficiently execute to ship products and deliver impact for our business and users.
Requirements
- β8+ years of product management and/or product marketing experience.
- β3+ years of product management experience designing and building developer platforms.
- βPassionate about improving developer productivity, product quality, and automating/optimizing developer workflows.
- βDemonstrated empathy for key developer pain points, and a track record of leadership in building products for developers.
- βExperience building strategic relationships with partner executives, senior management and technical staff to achieve business goals.
- βExperience creating product messaging and delivering to customers and the media.
- βDemonstrated inbound and subject matter expertise.
- βBe able to build compelling customer-focused stories and work with marketing and communications partners to bring them to life.
- βDemonstrated track record of product leadership in a cross functional environment.
- βEntrepreneurial track record of taking an idea to reality and leading teams through a dynamic environment.
- βA strong ability to effectively use data and perform business analysis to support product strategy/decisions.
- βExcited to drive execution across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- βEnjoys doing individual contributor product management work and staying in the details.
- βStrong ability and desire to travel frequently, including domestic and international.
