About the Role
Air New Zealand is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to help protect their digital systems and ensure secure, resilient platforms for millions of customers worldwide. This role involves hands-on monitoring, analysis, and improvement of cybersecurity posture across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- βStrengthen cloud security posture by implementing and enhancing controls
- βMonitor, review and optimise WAF rules and performance
- βOversee compliance against security control schedules for outsourced providers
- βAnalyse security metrics and contribute to regular health reporting
- βSupport security incident response and coordinate resolution
- βIdentify vulnerabilities and partner with stakeholders for remediation
- βMaintain high quality documentation and security practices
Requirements
- βAt least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity roles
- βExperience with WAF and cloud technologies in hybrid environments
- βStrong understanding of security principles like defence in depth
- βExperience with DDoS protection, API security, threat analysis
- βKnowledge of security incident response processes and frameworks
- βFamiliarity with SIEM tools and security monitoring
- βQualification in business, computer science, or equivalent
- βSecurity or cloud certifications such as AWS or CISSP are beneficial
