About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Designer – Inline Innovation to join Arc’teryx. This role involves designing and developing future-focused apparel concepts from ideation through to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

→Design and develop future-focused apparel concepts
→Partner with teams across Inline Apparel Design and Advanced Concepts
→Concept and build projects that push existing product categories
→Research, gather insights, and create breakthrough ideas
→Design for a variety of product categories including knitwear and underwear
→Lead complex projects with cross-functional teams
→Stay at the forefront of new technologies and manufacturing techniques
→Collaborate with other Designers to bring new design solutions
→Build concept prototypes for review, testing, and validation
→Collect insights through observation, product testing, and research
→Test materials for suitability and provide recommendations
→Contribute to the future of Arc’teryx product circularity initiatives

Requirements

✓Degree in Apparel Design, Textile Design, Industrial Design or equivalent experience
✓Minimum of 8+ years’ hands-on experience designing products
✓2+ years leading a team or process
✓Extensive experience with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
✓Advanced knowledge and skill in mentoring others on processes, patterning, sewing, and construction
✓Relationship with core sports and deep understanding of end-user needs
✓Excellent team player with the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
✓Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
✓Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and seeking solutions
✓Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
✓Passion for work and getting outside
