About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Lead with expertise in Python and GoLang to join Assent, a company solving complex technical challenges with global impact. You will own the design system strategy and lead the evolution of our product, working closely with engineering leaders and product managers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and develop RESTful APIs using AWS API Gateway integrated with Lambda functions
- →Implement endpoint logic in Python-based Lambda functions for file upload, status checks, and analytics retrieval
- →Ensure the API layer abstracts backend complexity from the Angular frontend
- →Support core user flows by implementing and exposing APIs that connect to backend services
- →Partner with frontend engineers, data platform teams, and data engineers to define requirements
- →Integrate the API layer with the medallion architecture
- →Implement and maintain AWS Step Functions workflows for file processing
- →Use EventBridge to trigger workflows on CMRT file uploads
- →Design and implement a robust automated unit testing strategy
- →Set coding standards and mentor other developers
Requirements
- ✓Deep expertise in Python or GoLang and back-end architecture
- ✓Experience with RESTful API design and development
- ✓Understanding of Angular and UI technologies
- ✓Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge)
- ✓Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- ✓Strong understanding of testing frameworks like pytest
- ✓Experience with data processing and analytics
- ✓Ability to lead and mentor other developers
- ✓System thinking, performance, and platform maintainability focus
