About the Role

Bloomreach is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their team in India, a critical product development and innovation hub. The company is building an agentic platform for personalization and revolutionizing how businesses connect with their customers through AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

→Own and lead the design and development of critical technology components
→Work on Bloomreach Product Search, an industry-leading eCommerce domain search engine
→Develop Bloomreach Recommendations and Pathways, a capability that caters intelligently selected products to individual customers
→Maintain a distributed and highly scalable content indexing system
→Work on a massively parallel crawler and parser
→Develop high throughput NoSQL database and search systems
→Create a real-time autocomplete system
→Build a distributed, highly scalable, and robust configuration management system
→Develop a suite of automated deployment tools

Requirements

✓A B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field
✓1 years of experience building software solutions in a corporate or startup
✓Experience with maintaining distributed systems at significant scale in a production environment
✓Extensive background in algorithms and hands-on coding experience
✓Working with backend first languages, such as Java, Scala, Python, etc.
✓Worked with large-scale data processing (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, Mapreduce, Airflow)
