Bluesight is looking for an Director Engineering, DevOps to help us redefine and grow our suite of healthcare products by ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and secure, further supporting the company's mission of "Medication Intelligence." Our hospital and pharmacy customers rely on us to keep their patients safe and their pharmacies running smoothly while delighting them with every release. By streamlining their pharmacy's daily routines with our RFID inventory management solution and reducing risk and enhancing their compliance with our controlled substance tracking platform, we're committed to improving medication management for our nation's healthcare providers, and our data operations and products are the backbone of our offerings.
The Director of Engineering, DevOps will lead the engineering teams that build the infrastructure, tooling, and reliability for our portfolio of hospital pharmacy software products. We help Hospitals manage drug inventory, flag drug diversion as well as realize substantial savings in drug costs. Weβre looking for someone who can continue to mature, scale organically, and integrate acquisitions, with a specific focus on optimizing our DevOps practices, including those supporting AI/ML workflows. This is a people and engineering-management position that will have a critical technical impact on our product portfolio and growth.
You can expect to:
β’ Lead two high-performing teams: a Dev Tooling team focused on CI/CD pipelines, developer experience, and internal platforms, and a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team focused on system health, performance, secops, and incident response.
β’ Improve communication and collaboration, including reuse and ownership, across DevOps, Product, and Platform teams.
β’ Improve our processes for deployment, monitoring, incident management, and release engineering, ensuring speed and reliability.
β’ Drive the adoption of newer GitOps practices, with an emphasis on MLOps and AI-related infrastructure and tooling.
β’ Ensure productive and collaborative communications within, and across, your teams and stakeholders.
β’ Own design and implementation of infrastructure and tooling roadmap capabilities by working with internal, data, and product teams as necessary.
β’ Work in partnership with Product and Engineering to ensure technical health, work through infrastructure challenges, ensure products ship reliably, and manage operational risks.
β’ Participate in technical and architecture reviews across your teams and the wider engineering organization.
About You:
β’ Decade+ experience building and operating Enterprise SaaS products.
β’ Experience leading high performing, remote-first product and infrastructure teams.
β’ Deep experience as a prior practitioner in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure engineerin, within an AWS environment.
β’ Proven track record of building sustainable engineering organizations with effective mentoring and team performance management.
β’ Experience building cross functional teams and high-trust relationships with product peers.
β’ Experience managing cloud operating costs at a team or product level.
β’ Deeply versed with Agile development, as well as shaping and optimizing Engineering Metrics (DORA, DevEx, Reliability).
β’ History of developing software and infrastructure at enterprise SaaS level.
β’ Strong communicator who can take risks and drive meaningful change in accordance with our technical strategy.
β’ Display High EQ with ability to balance relationship-building, advocating, supporting and saying no/not-now.
β’ Well-versed in AWS cloud-first architectures and scaling components. Experience in AWS services like EKS/ECS, Lambda/Serverless, Kinesis, Stepfunctions, Cost Explorer, Terraform.
β’ Track record of driving cost visibility, forecasting accuracy, and accountability across AWS environments while optimizing cloud spend and aligning infrastructure investment with product and business outcomes.
β’ Experience embedding and advancing DevSecOps and infrastructure security best practices, Terraform governance, and elevating incident response, and risk management across AWS platforms.

Nice to Have:
β’ Experience running distributed, event or data-based, products.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
β’ Proven experience implementing and scaling MLOps or AI-related GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
