About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Engagement team at Branch, where you will design and build tools that help marketers create seamless connected experiences powered by links. This role is critical to our Engagement product, which powers billions of interactions daily for leading brands.
Key Responsibilities
- →Architect & Innovate: Take ownership of system architecture, research new technologies, and introduce them to the team.
- →Own & Solve: Act as a reliable technical contributor who owns and solves complex problems independently.
- →Lead Projects: Independently lead key technical projects through the full development lifecycle.
- →Mentor & Influence: Mentor other engineers and persuade peers and stakeholders on technical matters.
- →Improve & Adapt: Challenge existing processes and identify improvements in our technical stack and team operations.
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- ✓Deep experience in back-end development, with strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
- ✓Experience designing, building, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and reliable distributed systems and APIs.
- ✓Proven ability to lead complex technical projects independently.
- ✓Experience mentoring other engineers and influencing technical discussions.
- ✓Strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
