About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Engineering for Trust & Safety at Bumble Inc. This role involves leading multiple engineering squads working on high-impact, sensitive systems that are central to Bumble’s mission. You will shape how we scale resilient, responsible, and future-ready platforms while embedding AI as a core capability.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and grow multiple engineering squads, supporting ICs and managers across many seniority levels
- →Contribute to a clear technical and organisational vision for Trust & Safety engineering
- →Embed AI thoughtfully into engineering practices
- →Partner closely with Product, Data, Design, Legal, and Operations leaders
- →Create inclusive, high-performing team environments
- →Guide architectural decisions across distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines
- →Champion engineering excellence by improving delivery practices
- →Role model Bumble values of Courage and Curiosity
Requirements
- ✓People-first engineering leadership experience
- ✓Strong experience leading multiple squads or groups within an engineering organisation
- ✓Fluency in modern engineering systems and practices
- ✓Experience embedding AI into team workflows
- ✓Cross-functional collaboration skills
- ✓10–15 years of experience
