About the Role
We are looking for a Content Safety Product Manager to join our team at Canva. This role focuses on ensuring content created with Canva is safe by providing tools and support to internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- βTranslate complex multi-stakeholder needs into intuitive products and services
- βDefine and articulate measurable safety outcomes and impact for key initiatives
- βPrioritize incoming requests for the team and support backlog prioritization
- βBuild a deep understanding of user protection mechanisms across Canva
- βPlan adoption timelines with buy-in from internal teams
- βPartner with engineering leadership to refine and operationalize the vision for content safety
- βProactively communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders
- βBe an escalation point for T&S incidents, appeals, and investigations
- βAssess Canva product safety risks and ensure Trust & Safety mitigations
Requirements
- βProven experience in product management across policy, machine learning, operations tooling, education, or compliance
- βDeep understanding of how protecting customer safety enables business impact
- βTrack record of delivering large-scale projects in fast-paced organizations
- βCross-functional fluency with engineering, data, operations, and business teams
- βExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- βAbility to balance long-term vision with timely delivery
- βData-driven mentality with first-principles reasoning
- βInnovator willing to tackle complex technical and organizational challenges
