About the Role
We are seeking a skilled DBT Engineer to join our cross-functional Agile team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain modular data transformation pipelines using dbt in a Snowflake environment. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and analysts to create analytics-ready data models that power application features and strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain scalable dbt models and transformation pipelines using DBT Core.
- →Understand DBT Architecture and write Python operators in DBT flow.
- →Write SQL to transform raw data into curated datasets in Snowflake.
- →Collaborate with developers and UI/UX engineers to support application features.
- →Work with analysts and stakeholders to gather data requirements.
- →Enforce data quality through testing, documentation, and version control.
- →Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tasks using Jira.
- →Integrate dbt into CI/CD pipelines.
- →Monitor data performance and resolve issues.
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
- ✓Hands-on experience with dbt core or dbt cloud.
- ✓Strong command of SQL and data modeling best practices.
- ✓Proven experience with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse.
- ✓Python skills for data pipeline integration.
- ✓Familiarity with Git-based version control workflows.
- ✓Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- ✓Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
