About the Role
The Business Development Manager will represent Carta in-market and support the company’s efforts to grow its network, deepen existing relationships, and develop additional business opportunities across the venture capital network to facilitate growth for Carta’s Venture Capital business.
Key Responsibilities
- →Create champions for Carta’s Venture Capital products within the investment management ecosystem
- →Identify and develop new long-term relationships to grow Carta’s network and business
- →Coordinate and work alongside Sales and Marketing teams to activate mutual books of business
- →Develop and execute strategies to convert relevant firms into preferred partners
- →Lead discovery on additional paths for Carta to add value to channel partners
- →Drive non-linear referral motions with channel partners
- →Represent Carta in the field, meeting with partners and attending industry events
Requirements
- ✓Significant knowledge of the venture ecosystem and funds
- ✓Relevant network of contacts within the venture funds and accelerators community
- ✓Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills
- ✓Demonstrated history of working cross-functionally to drive solutions
- ✓Deep understanding of SaaS business models
- ✓4-8 years of relevant Business Development / Partnerships or industry experience
