About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Head of Sales to lead our telesales organization for the UK market at Carwow Group. This role is central to our Sell-My-Car business, overseeing the team that brokers vehicle sales through our online auctions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the Sell-My-Car telesales organization, taking ownership of sales conversion and revenue delivery
- →Execute and refine sales strategies to meet daily trading targets and maximize productivity
- →Set clear performance expectations and distribute team targets aligned with business goals
- →Manage the full sales pipeline, ensuring optimal workload balance and adherence to SLAs
- →Ensure robust quality controls and standards across all sales interactions
- →Champion improvements to systems and sales enablement
- →Oversee rota planning to meet volume demands year-round
- →Drive continuous improvement and implement enhancements that lift productivity
- →Lead, coach, and mentor Sales Team Leaders
- →Oversee recruitment, training, and onboarding frameworks
- →Conduct regular team and leadership meetings
- →Foster an engaged and collaborative team environment
- →Represent Sales within the Sell-My-Car senior leadership team
- →Collaborate with Fulfilment, Product, Marketing, and Commercial stakeholders
- →Handle high-priority escalations and resolve complex seller issues
- →Contribute to broader business initiatives that enhance the seller experience
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in a sales leadership role within high-volume telesales environments
- ✓Previous leadership of sales teams of 20+ individual contributors
- ✓Record of achievement managing team performance in a target-focused environment
- ✓Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
- ✓Solid understanding of defining sales processes aligned with customer journeys
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ✓Experience in the automotive industry is desirable
- ✓Experience working with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
