About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Gameplay QA Analyst to join our team working on Project Orion, the next game in the Cyberpunk franchise. This role focuses on ensuring the highest gameplay quality by identifying, analyzing, and verifying issues related to mechanics, combat systems, progression, AI, UI, interactions, and overall player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- βPlan and execute complex test strategies and test plans for large-scale gameplay systems and features
- βCollaborate with developers and designers during feature development, providing early input on potential quality risks
- βAnalyze and identify gaps in test coverage, proactively improving test effectiveness across gameplay systems
- βConduct comprehensive testing of core gameplay features such as combat, AI, player progression, UI/UX, and player feedback systems
- βDevelop and maintain detailed test cases and checklists related to gameplay mechanics and progression logic
- βMonitor ongoing game development and assess the impact of changes
- βReview and refine test documentation to maintain project standards
- βProvide comprehensive gameplay feedback including mechanics feel, usability, UI behavior, balance, pacing, and overall game flow
- βServe as a bridge between QA and development teams
- βPrepare detailed reports and actionable insights on test outcomes
- βMentor and support junior QA Analysts and Specialists
- βParticipate in cross-functional meetings to influence project decision-making
Requirements
- βExperience in game testing, particularly with gameplay systems
- βStrong understanding of game mechanics, combat systems, and player progression
- βExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail
