About the Role
You will contribute to the development and full characterization cycle of radiation- and magnetic-field-tolerant DCDC converters for the LHC experiments at CERN. This role involves designing and upgrading complex test setups, enhancing control and monitoring software, and performing electrical and radiation tolerance testing.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and commission complex testing systems for multiple DCDC converters
- →Organize electrical, radiation, and reliability testing campaigns
- →Participate in large-scale test campaigns with final reporting and documentation
- →Develop and enhance control and monitoring software using Python
- →Perform electrical and radiation tolerance testing
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience with electronic lab instruments (PS, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- ✓Knowledge of real-time systems and implementations (MCUs)
- ✓Hands-on experience in soldering and handling electrical equipment
- ✓Experience in writing technical reports, user documentation, and manuals
- ✓Experience in PCB design, production, and verification/debugging
- ✓National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State
- ✓Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation
- ✓Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field
