About the Role
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join the Business Computing (FAP-BC) group at CERN. This role involves developing and maintaining UI design patterns, components, and style guides to enhance the usability of applications within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and maintain UI design patterns, components, and style guides required by product teams.
- →Collaborate with UX colleagues to propose the governance model of the Design System.
- →Support the adoption of the Design System across product teams.
- →Design wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces for web-based and mobile applications.
- →Implement user-centred design principles to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
- →Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
- →Work closely with developers to implement designs and ensure design integrity throughout the development process.
Requirements
- ✓Experience in designing end-to-end user interfaces, from early concepts to validated designs.
- ✓Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts.
- ✓Experience in applying user research or usability testing methods to validate design decisions.
- ✓Experience in agile frameworks by incorporating early feedback from users, stakeholders, and developers in design deliverables.
- ✓Experience with documenting and presenting design work to stakeholders.
- ✓Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.
- ✓National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- ✓Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
