About the Role
We are looking for a Material Coordinator to join our team at Commonwealth Fusion Systems. This role serves as the first line of support for production, construction, and assembly teams, coordinating material flow and resolving urgent issues to prevent operational stoppages.
Key Responsibilities
- →Interface between Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, Quality, and Production/Construction/Assembly teams
- →Modify work orders and initiate kitting of materials with the warehouse team
- →Coordinate logistics of material through the factory
- →Monitor material readiness and mitigate downtime due to shortages
- →Utilize shop floor applications to manage resource workloads
- →Maintain work order status reports and balance resources
- →Troubleshoot material availability and consumption issues
- →Serve as a supply chain partner with frequent manufacturing floor presence
Requirements
- ✓High School Diploma or equivalent
- ✓2+ years in Manufacturing Shop Floor, Production Planning, or Inventory environment
- ✓Experience with shop floor applications and manufacturing execution systems
- ✓Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
- ✓General understanding of ERP and MRP systems
- ✓Basic computer skills with MS Office or G-Suite
- ✓Great communication skills and ability to work effectively with manufacturing and supply chain personnel
- ✓Enthusiasm for the mission and willingness to embrace complex challenges
- ✓Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities
- ✓Willingness to work in industrial environments and travel occasionally
