About the Role

We are seeking a Contract HME Service Technician to join our team at Giving Home Medical Equipment. This role involves delivering, setting up, and demonstrating home medical equipment for patients in their homes, with a focus on patient education and safety compliance. The position requires on-call availability including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

→Deliver, set up, and assemble various types of home medical and durable medical equipment at patients' homes
→Provide thorough education to patients and caregivers on proper use, maintenance, and safety precautions
→Conduct equipment checks to ensure functionality and safety prior to delivery and setup
→Clean, disinfect, and perform functional checks on all medical equipment before and after delivery
→Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment at patient homes and upon return
→Respond to emergency and on-call requests for equipment delivery, repair, or replacement
→Document patient interactions, services provided, equipment setup, and patient education
→Complete accurate documentation of all deliveries, setups, patient education, and equipment maintenance
→Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and federal and state regulations
→Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and proper handling of equipment during transport

Requirements

✓High school diploma or GED required
✓Owns and has consistent access to a truck, van, or large SUV that accommodates large DME items
✓Minimum 1-2 years experience in medical equipment delivery, maintenance, or similar role preferred
✓Detailed knowledge of setting up, assembling, and troubleshooting hospital beds, wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators, CPAP supplies, and other HME/DME
✓Experience with Brightree (Mobile Delivery & Transport Manager) preferred
✓Strong ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and caregivers
✓Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 100 pounds
✓Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
✓Effective verbal and written communication skills
✓Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve them quickly in the field
✓Valid driver's license and clean driving record
