About the Role

We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our team. This critical role focuses on ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget through comprehensive scheduling, cost control, and risk management. The specialist will work directly with technical project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to analyze project performance and ensure adherence to established processes.

Key Responsibilities

→Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
→Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and establish work breakdown structures with realistic timelines
→Analyze project scope to identify critical path activities and potential risks
→Establish and maintain project cost baselines, budgets, and forecasts
→Track project costs against budgets and implement cost control measures
→Implement and manage earned value management systems to measure project performance
→Develop and maintain risk registers and monitor effectiveness of mitigation actions
→Prepare regular project status reports with earned value metrics and key performance indicators
→Communicate project status and issues to project managers and stakeholders
→Continuously improve scheduling and cost processes to enhance project efficiency

Requirements

✓Relevant degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
✓3-5 years of experience in scheduling management and cost control for complex projects
✓Hands-on experience as a project controller in infrastructure, aerospace, manufacturing, or similar complex projects
✓Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
✓Proficiency in scheduling software like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
✓Experience with cost management and financial analysis
✓Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✓Attention to detail and organizational skills
✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✓Experience with earned value management
✓Willingness to travel when required or work nights/weekends/on-call
✓Ability to perform activities like typing, stooping, or sitting for extended periods
✓Ability to work in a facility with industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, and high voltage
