Salary Range

$140,000 - $200,000 /year

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional and results-driven Technical Project Manager to join our Program Management Office. This role will play a pivotal role in driving complex engineering projects within SPARC, our first-of-a-kind compact fusion machine, ensuring comprehensive plans are established and executed.

Key Responsibilities

→Drive engineering projects within SPARC from inception to completion
→Develop comprehensive plans for engineering, procurement and construction of highly engineered process systems
→Manage SPARC systems through final design with cross-functional teams
→Establish project milestones and ensure deliverables are met within budget and timeline
→Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources and timeline
→Support resolution of schedule conflicts and track SPARC progress
→Facilitate collaboration between PMO, system leads and project team members
→Lead implementation of strategic process improvement plans
→Lead cross-functional teams composed of engineers, designers, analysts and procurement specialists
→Foster collaborative and high-performance team culture
→Manage cost and schedule while driving critical risk-based decisions
→Monitor project timelines rigorously and implement mitigation strategies
→Keep stakeholders informed through regular updates and reporting
→Lead active management of risks throughout project lifecycle

Requirements

✓Bachelor's degree in engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical or related)
✓At least 5 years hands-on experience as responsible engineer or technical contributor
✓At least 5+ years experience managing complex technical projects from concept through production
✓Familiarity with new product introduction programs and concept trade-offs
✓Proficiency in project planning and scheduling
✓Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
✓Willingness to travel when required or work nights/weekends/on-call
✓Ability to perform physical activities like typing, stooping, climbing, standing or sitting for extended periods
✓Ability to work in facility with industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, high current, pressure systems and cryogenics
