About the Role

The Infrastructure Engineering team at Chime is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop tools for cloud infrastructure and automate management of complex service-oriented applications. This role focuses on ensuring the stability and scalability of Chime's platform that supports customer-serving products.

Key Responsibilities

→Automate scaling, monitoring, and operations
→Build tools for self-service within the team and across Chime engineering
→Design, build, and support Chime's cloud infrastructure using automation and infrastructure-as-code
→Develop tools and processes for security, scalability, and availability of products
→Partner with product development engineers to build services using modern design patterns
→Develop strong relationships with colleagues based on trust and technical expertise

Requirements

✓More than 2 years of cloud and infrastructure experience
✓Strong development experience in Ruby, Go, or another programming language
✓Previous professional experience in a DevOps/SRE/ProdEng role supporting customer-facing web services
✓Experience creating and working with containers and container orchestration tools
✓Experience building and managing highly-available public cloud infrastructure
✓Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools
✓Experience supporting relational or NoSQL databases, message buses, and caching services
✓Familiarity with CI/CD and testing platforms
✓Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
✓Experience with AWS services, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Terraform
✓Positive attitude and collaborative mindset
