About the Role
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join Cloudflare's Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization. This role involves technical sales of Cloudflare's solution portfolio, ensuring business value and fit-for-purpose solution design for customers. As a technical customer advocate, you will work closely with various teams at Cloudflare to create scalable solutions for customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with customers to understand their technical needs and propose solutions
- →Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams
- →Explain complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms
- →Travel to customer offices, conferences, and events
- →Manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize competing demands
- →Understand and explain internet protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS, HTTP)
- →Explain ROI and customer buying decisions
Requirements
- ✓Business fluency in German
- ✓Ability to manage projects and work to deadlines
- ✓Understanding of how the internet works, including TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP
- ✓Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash)
- ✓Experience building or contributing to web applications
- ✓Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (CSRF, XSS, SQLi)
- ✓Understanding of regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC-2)
- ✓Familiarity with emerging technical trends (SASE, Zero Trust)
