About the Role
Confluent is seeking a Technical Instructor to deliver instructor-led training on Apache Kafka and Confluent products to Global System Integrator (GSI) partners in the Asia Pacific region, with an emphasis on India. This role will empower partners to deploy and optimize Kafka-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Conduct high-quality instructor-led training sessions (virtual and in person) and facilitate hands-on labs
- →Organize and deliver technical content focused on Kafka fundamentals, Confluent Cloud, and Confluent Platform
- →Foster strong GSI partner relationships and prioritize impactful training
- →Collect feedback from training participants to improve course materials
- →Collaborate with the curriculum development team to update content
- →Stay current with Apache Kafka, Confluent products, and emerging trends
- →Document best practices, FAQs, and common technical challenges
- →Represent Confluent at partner training events and conferences
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in a technical trainer, sales engineer, or professional services role
- ✓Expertise in Apache Kafka and familiarity with Confluent products
- ✓Proven experience delivering technical training to diverse audiences
- ✓Strong understanding of distributed systems, real-time data streaming, and event-driven architectures
- ✓Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ✓Experience with designing and implementing strategic training plans
- ✓Proficient in at least one programming language, preferably Java
- ✓Familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP
- ✓Experienced with virtual classroom training tools like Zoom
- ✓Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
