About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team at Coupang. This role focuses on designing and managing data marts and data pipelines to enable data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define and design standard data models for core business domains
- →Analyze business needs and lead data projects in collaboration with stakeholders
- →Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
- →Improve architecture for data processing cost optimization and SQL/query performance tuning
- →Build data quality monitoring systems and automate pipeline operations
Requirements
- ✓Deep understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing theory
- ✓8+ years of practical experience in data engineering or related roles
- ✓Advanced SQL writing skills and optimization capabilities for complex queries
- ✓Experience with at least one of DW platforms: Redshift, Netezza, or Teradata
- ✓Experience with open-source big data platforms: Hive, Spark, or Presto
- ✓Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and stakeholders to define problems and propose solutions
