About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Crunchyroll, leading our Roku engineering team responsible for building and maintaining applications on Roku devices. This role focuses on people leadership, execution, and cross-functional alignment, partnering closely with Product, Design, and QA to deliver the best possible anime fan experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers working on Roku applications
- →Own team execution, delivery predictability, and quality outcomes
- →Partner with Product, Design, and QA to plan and deliver roadmap commitments
- →Facilitate technical discussions and support architectural decision-making
- →Ensure healthy engineering processes, release readiness, and operational excellence
- →Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- →Foster a strong, inclusive, and accountable team culture
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- ✓2+ years of experience in managing and leading engineering teams
- ✓Strong people leadership and delivery management skills
- ✓Experience working on consumer-facing applications, ideally in streaming or media
- ✓Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
- ✓Familiarity with Roku development (BrightScript, SceneGraph)
