About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join as the founding engineer of a new Enterprise Software Engineering function within IT at Crusoe. You’ll work directly with the Director to build internal tools, automations, and integrations that eliminate manual work and solve real operational problems across the business.

Key Responsibilities

→Build and ship internal tools, automations, and integrations that deliver measurable value across Finance, Operations, HR, and other business teams
→Use AI-assisted development as the default workflow, including writing specs, crafting prompts, reviewing AI-generated code, and iterating rapidly
→Define foundational technical patterns, including coding standards, project conventions, reusable components, and context files that guide AI-driven development
→Design and maintain integrations between enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and data pipelines
→Develop solutions across a hybrid environment, combining cloud application platforms with internal GPU compute for AI workloads
→Partner with business teams in rapid prototyping sprints, then hardening prototypes into production-ready systems with testing, monitoring, and documentation
→Establish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and quality gates for all delivered solutions
→Own solutions end-to-end, from specification and implementation through deployment and production support
→Operate within tiered governance frameworks, applying appropriate review and compliance controls based on solution sensitivity

Requirements

✓5+ years of experience building and shipping production software
✓Full-stack proficiency across frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers
✓Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools in a professional setting to ship real software
✓Strong fundamentals in at least one modern language (Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar) with the ability to learn new ones quickly
✓Experience building and integrating APIs and working with enterprise middleware or system integrations
✓Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
