About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic experienced Engineer who has direct working knowledge of Core Networks to include Circuit Switching, Packet Switching, VOLTE, HLR/HSS and messaging (SMS). This role will be responsible for the support and expansion of a global core network, working in a small team of experienced engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- →Support and expand the Cubic³ core network elements
- →Perform troubleshooting and analysis of network incidents
- →Provide input and collaborate with team members on network projects
- →Expand network monitoring capability
- →Ensure consistent uptime of the core network
- →Act as a key point of contact for vendors and other teams
- →Participate in knowledge transfer with fellow engineers
Requirements
- ✓Experience with 3GPP Network Elements: HLR/HSS, DRA, STP, SMSC, GMSC, IMS Core, PGW, OCS, PCRF, AAA
- ✓Good understanding of telecom protocols and interfaces: GTP (S8), Diameter (S6a, Gx, Gy, Rx, Cx, Sh), MAP, Radius, SMPP, SIP
- ✓Experience implementing telecoms integrations
- ✓Minimum 5 years' experience in telecoms Engineering or Degree in Computer/Telecoms Engineering
- ✓Proven track record in working with small teams
- ✓Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting network issues
- ✓Excellent documentation skills
- ✓Excellent spoken and written English
- ✓Previous experience working to aggressive timelines
- ✓Commitment to provide high quality and professional service
- ✓Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility
- ✓Availability to support out-of-hours work and on-call rota
