About the Role
Our team is responsible for speech experience inside GeminiApp, handling activation, ASR and TTS quality, speech personalization, interruptions, and conversation termination. We are seeking a talented Machine Learning Software Engineer to join Google DeepMind and advance the state of the art in artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- →Deploy models that classify GeminiApp data, ensuring proper input handling and effective output utilization
- →Build monitoring dashboards and alerting systems for model performance
- →Update infrastructure to comply with company privacy policy standards
- →Perform data analysis to identify quality, latency, and reliability issues
- →Participate in planning and implementing improvements to GeminiApp speech systems
Requirements
- ✓BS, MS or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, machine learning or equivalent industry experience
- ✓Experience with software engineering projects from concept to implementation
- ✓Proven knowledge of Python, C++, GCL, and SQL in production environments
- ✓Experience applying experimental ideas to practical problems
- ✓Knowledge of machine learning and statistics, including modern techniques like prompt optimization
- ✓Experience with small classification and large language models is a plus
