About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Easol, an all-in-one 'experience commerce' platform for businesses like festivals and wellness retreats. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll develop core services and infrastructure while mentoring team members and collaborating with product leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain efficient Ruby on Rails code
- →Lead delivery for a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality implementation
- →Mentor and coach less experienced team members
- →Collaborate with senior engineering management on technical strategy
- →Contribute to product decisions with product managers
- →Identify and address performance bottlenecks
- →Participate in architectural discussions and help set engineering standards
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails in production
- ✓At least 2 years in a team lead or tech lead role
- ✓Proven track record of mentoring engineering talent
- ✓Strong understanding of web application performance optimization
- ✓Experience with scaling applications and managing infrastructure
- ✓Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts
- ✓Demonstrated ability to influence product decisions
- ✓Knowledge of software delivery methodologies like Agile and Kanban
