About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join EasyPost, a YC unicorn that makes shipping simple for businesses. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, code, test, and debug software applications following established coding standards
- →Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- →Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
- →Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues
- →Create and maintain technical documentation
- →Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components
- →Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
- →Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests
- →Utilize version control systems to manage source code
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree
- ✓3-5+ years of professional software development experience
- ✓Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar
- ✓Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- ✓Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles
- ✓Experience with front-end and/or back-end frameworks and technologies
- ✓Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling concepts
- ✓Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- ✓Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
