We're looking for a strategic, data-driven Director of Product Marketing to lead our product marketing function and drive go-to-market excellence. You'll own product positioning, messaging, and launch strategy while working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Field Marketing, and Customer Success to accelerate growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of market intelligence, storytelling, and revenue outcomes to drive measurable success for Lightcast's products and services for our customers and partners throughout each product lifecycle.
Major Responsibilities:

Team leadership: Lead a high-performing product marketing team, ensuring stellar performance in our go-to-market initiatives. Define and track KPIs that measure product marketing effectiveness and contribution to pipeline and revenue.

Go-to-market: Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to create and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature enhancements. Set measurable launch objectives, track results against KPIs, and iterate on strategies to optimize product adoption and revenue growth.

Product Positioning: Craft compelling product positioning and messaging that resonate with target audiences. This includes translating complex technical concepts into simple communications and visuals that reinforce the brand and drive product understanding.

Packaging: Establish pricing and packaging frameworks in collaboration with Product and Finance.

Enablement Tools: Partner closely with Sales Enablement to deliver compelling toolsβpitch decks, solution briefs, competitive battle cards, demos, and FAQsβto equip our Sales and Client Services team.

Market Research: Research target markets, emerging trends, and shifts in customer needs to inform strategic decision-making and market size estimates.

Competitive Intelligence: Incorporate competitive intelligence programs, translating market insights into actionable sales enablement and positioning strategies

Customer Use Cases: Represent the voice of the customer through buyer research, win/loss analysis, and ongoing market segmentation. Develop in-depth customer persona profiles, mapping out use cases, value drivers, and buyer journeys to inform opportunities and refine market segmentation.

Demand Generation: Work with internal teams and business units to develop targeted demand generation initiatives. Monitor campaign performance, applying analytical rigor to refine tactics and ensure marketing efforts translate into pipeline growth and revenue impact.
Education & Experience:

15+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in the B2B SaaS or data analytics sector.
β’
A bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success in launching products, building compelling messaging, and driving measurable business outcomes.
β’
Proven track record of shaping and delivering go-to-market strategies that boost product adoption, accelerate pipeline, and drive revenue growth.

Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with a strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences.

Experience partnering closely with Product, Sales, Field Marketing, and Customer Success to achieve synergistic outcomes.

Expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Willingness to be a "player-coach" with a deep understanding of how product marketing supports revenue.

Understanding of the labor market, data analytics, and the needs of educational institutions, enterprises, and government organizations is a big plus.
