About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Engineering Manager to lead our Building Structures function in New Zealand, providing strong operational, technical and people leadership while driving business performance and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and manage the New Zealand Building discipline, providing strong operational, technical and people leadership
- →Allocate and manage resources to meet project demands, optimise utilisation and deliver business outcomes
- →Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, compliant and innovative solutions
- →Oversee the planning, delivery and financial performance of significant projects within the discipline
- →Drive a proactive business development culture, supporting bids, promoting team capabilities and strengthening client relationships
- →Ensure consistent project delivery excellence, including quality, safety, cost and schedule performance
- →Engage, motivate and develop team members through coaching, feedback and performance leadership
- →Collaborate with internal stakeholders and other regions to support efficient, integrated service delivery
- →Monitor market trends and discipline performance, providing insights and updates to the Director – Engineering NZ
- →Champion safety, inclusion and a positive team culture where people feel supported and empowered
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in building engineering management
- ✓Strong leadership and people management skills
- ✓Technical expertise in building structures
- ✓Experience with project planning and financial management
- ✓Business development and client relationship skills
- ✓Understanding of quality, safety, and schedule performance standards
- ✓Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and other regions
- ✓Knowledge of market trends and discipline performance
