About the Role
We are seeking an Engineering Director for the Nuclear UK branch to provide technical expertise and support for ongoing EPR design projects, particularly Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. This role involves strategic leadership, technical oversight, and coordination across international engineering competence centres.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide technical expertise and support for ongoing EPR design projects
- →Represent Egis at industry events and coordinate with the Technical Directorate in France
- →Steer strategic initiatives to elevate EGIS' prominence in the international nuclear sector
- →Provide technical authority and coordination across EGIS’ international engineering competence centres
- →Lead project teams of technical professionals dispersed globally
- →Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and government agencies
- →Ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements
- →Prioritize nuclear safety throughout all project stages
- →Participate in all bidding activities and assume responsibility for technical compliance verification
- →Ensure that all projects are delivered on time
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in engineering leadership within the nuclear sector
- ✓Strong technical expertise in reactor systems, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC
- ✓Experience with Instrumentation & Control (I&C) and nuclear safety
- ✓Ability to lead diverse, global teams and foster a culture of collaboration
- ✓Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- ✓In-depth knowledge of international standards for nuclear safety
- ✓Experience with bid management and project delivery oversight
- ✓Commitment to quality assurance and compliance with regulatory requirements
