About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HVDC Project Manager to lead engineering interfaces across joint venture projects and oversee the development of new HVDC assets. This role will support the delivery of expanding offshore and onshore transmission portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- →Act as Project Engineering for HVDC system scope covering converter technology and cable systems
- →Drive efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of HVDC solutions
- →Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes
- →Develop project design specifications with JV partners and support HVDC equipment procurement
- →Identify and manage engineering risks while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- →Lead technical design reviews and ensure alignment with Grid technical policies
- →Provide engineering expertise for cost estimation, planning and feasibility studies
Requirements
- ✓Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
- ✓10+ years' experience in project engineering within TSO, utility, EPC or OEM environment
- ✓Understanding of HVDC assets including converter stations and DC cable systems
- ✓Experience developing technical specifications for converters and cables
- ✓Knowledge of Grid Code requirements, system studies and network integration
- ✓Familiarity with relevant engineering standards
