About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Drafter to support engineers and senior technicians in producing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and models for bridge and structural projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is eager to develop technical skills in a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models of bridge structures, components, and details using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Revit
- →Assist in the preparation of general arrangement drawings, reinforcement details, and construction documentation
- →Work closely with engineers to interpret design concepts, sketches, and mark-ups
- →Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, quality procedures, and client requirements
- →Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions and document control
- →Contribute to the development of BIM models and coordinate with other disciplines
- →Support the preparation of quantity take-offs and design presentations when required
- →Participate in project meetings and provide drafting-related input
- →Provide design support on bridge transportation projects and become familiar with client standards
- →Collaborate with design teams within other operating locations in Ontario
Requirements
- ✓Detail-oriented approach to technical drawing and modeling
- ✓Organized work habits with strong documentation skills
- ✓Willingness to develop technical skills in a collaborative environment
- ✓Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Revit preferred
- ✓Understanding of bridge and structural engineering principles
