Key Responsibilities
- →Lead end-to-end track design for LRT alignment including mainline, depot, and turnback sections
- →Develop and maintain the Track Design Management Plan
- →Oversee horizontal and vertical alignment design ensuring compliance with operational standards
- →Define and verify track geometry, rail cant, curve transition lengths, and turnout layouts
- →Manage design of various track structures based on corridor conditions
- →Coordinate track-civil interfaces including slab track details, drainage, and structural clearances
- →Interface with Rolling Stock and Systems teams for wheel-rail compatibility
- →Collaborate with Power and Signaling teams for proper integration
- →Review contractor design drawings and construction methodology
- →Perform constructability reviews to validate installation feasibility
- →Develop track material specifications and ensure standard conformity
- →Oversee turnout and crossing design, weld plans, and special trackwork
- →Support vibration and noise mitigation studies through track design
- →Coordinate with geotechnical and civil teams for subgrade validation
- →Review as-built designs and support quality assurance
- →Provide design support during Testing & Commissioning
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience in track design for transit systems
- ✓Expertise in alignment design, rail system geometry, and track structures
- ✓Strong understanding of civil, systems, and rolling stock integration
- ✓Knowledge of relevant railway and transit design standards
- ✓Experience with LRT or similar transit projects
- ✓Ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams
- ✓Strong technical review and quality assurance skills
- ✓Project management and coordination abilities
- ✓Familiarity with track installation and construction methodologies
- ✓Experience with track-civil interfaces and integration requirements
