About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise application platforms across Unix/Linux systems, databases, middleware, and container platforms. This role focuses on ensuring platform stability, performance, availability, and operational excellence in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide L2/L3 platform support for enterprise systems across Unix, Linux, and Solaris environments
- →Install, configure, and support middleware platforms including WebSphere MQ and WebLogic
- →Support and maintain database platforms (Oracle, DB2, SQL, MongoDB)
- →Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- →Manage batch processing, job execution, and platform health checks
- →Support containerized platforms using OpenShift
- →Handle incident, problem, and change management activities in line with ITIL processes
- →Troubleshoot complex platform and integration issues across systems
- →Support patching, upgrades, and platform lifecycle activities
- →Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience in Platform / System Engineering or Production Support
- ✓Strong hands-on experience with Unix, Linux, Solaris, or Tandem Systems
- ✓Experience supporting WebSphere MQ and WebLogic in enterprise environments
- ✓Solid knowledge of databases: Oracle, DB2, SQL, MongoDB
- ✓Experience with container platforms, preferably OpenShift
- ✓Strong troubleshooting skills in multi-tier application environments
- ✓Experience working in L2/L3 support and production operations
- ✓Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise IT operations
