About the Role
We are looking for experienced Directors of Engineering to lead key business domains in a solar energy company. These directors will guide technical strategy and build empowered teams to deliver real impact for making solar energy accessible to everyone.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead technical strategy for domain-level integration between teams and external systems
- →Represent the domain in key decisions and guide architectural choices
- →Lead the evolution from project-based work to product-oriented development
- →Mentor Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers
- →Empower teams for continuous improvement
- →Scale teams as domains grow 30–50% over the next 12 months
- →Align with product counterparts on domain north star and system landscape
- →Manage stakeholders across sales, operations, and fulfillment
- →Lead improvements in engineering practices including incident response and security
- →Balance immediate business needs with long-term technical health
- →Establish metrics and processes supporting team health and business impact
