About the Role
The Performance Media Director will provide strategic leadership for EQ Bank's performance media program, overseeing financial stewardship and operational excellence. This senior role will lead performance media outcomes across EQ Bank and REM, managing a hybrid internal and agency/vendor model.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and execute end-to-end performance media strategy aligned with growth, acquisition, and efficiency targets
- →Manage overall marketing budget including planning, pacing, tracking, accruals, and finance submissions
- →Make strategic investment decisions regarding tradeoffs, reallocations, and optimizations
- →Lead and govern a hybrid agency and vendor model
- →Serve as primary marketing lead for Marketing Mix Modeling and advanced measurement
- →Partner with Analytics to translate insights into actionable media decisions
- →Provide performance media strategy consultation for REM initiatives
- →Lead monthly growth performance meetings
- →Manage senior leadership requests regarding media performance
- →Lead, coach, and develop team members and agency partners
- →Operate as a senior cross-functional partner to Product, Brand, Analytics, and Finance
Requirements
- ✓University degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or equivalent senior level experience
- ✓8–10+ years of experience leading performance media or growth marketing
- ✓Proven ownership of large, complex marketing budgets
- ✓Deep expertise in performance measurement, optimization, and advanced analytics
- ✓Strong strategic understanding of full funnel media channels and consumer journey
- ✓Experience translating complex data into executive-ready recommendations
- ✓Proven success leading and governing agencies and vendors
- ✓3–5+ years of people leadership experience
- ✓Deep experience building brands and delivering acquisition and loyalty programs
- ✓Confident, collaborative leadership abilities
- ✓Highly organized with strong execution discipline
